Mission moment features distance learning student Moshtagh
Institute board members enjoyed hearing about distance learning at the Institute from student Nahaleh Moshtagh, PhD, a psychotherapist in Tehran on June 11.
Moshtagh, who joined the Psychoanalytic Education Program in September, is completing her Fundamentals year. She spoke to the board via the same video-conferencing platform the Institute uses for its distance learning program.
She works in private practice as well as serving as executive director and a member of the faculty of HamAva Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in her home country. HamAva is a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and educators who share a passion for the practice, research and teaching of psychoanalysis.
She told the board that psychoanalysis is popular in Iran. She also shared that she first learned of the program from another distance learning partner, Elise Snyder of the China American Psychoanalytic Alliance.
