Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program

The Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program is a program designed to meet the needs of clinicians in the contemporary mental health environment.

The program teaches the theory and technique of psychotherapy designed to guide people towards exploration of deeper thoughts and feelings, leading to lasting change.

Therapists in this program gain the tools they need to understand complex psychological phenomena and how to engage with and help their patients in a deeper way. They find their work much more rewarding both from an experiential and intellectual viewpoint.

In addition to classes, the program includes supervision of clinical cases. A personal experience in psychotherapy or psychoanalysis adds nuance and depth to a student’s learning experience.

Students choose a concentration in either adult or child and adolescent psychotherapy. Some classes are shared and others are specific to the concentration. Students can choose to take courses or do supervised casework in the other concentration.
