Maxwell Gitelson Film Library

The Maxwell Gitelson Film Library of the Institute of Psychoanalysis maintains an extensive collection of classic teaching films dealing with psychoanalytic, psychiatric, and psychological subjects. These films have been used for teaching and research by individuals and institutions across the country.

The library's holdings may be found in a film catalog, which also provides information about format, borrowing procedures, and copyright infringement. Copies of this catalog are available upon request for $5.00.

Arrangements to rent films should be made as far in advance as possible by contacting the Dr. Jerome Kavka at 312.922.7474.

A $100 base charge will be levied for each film for a one-week rental period, and the borrowing institution assumes complete responsibility for the film's condition.
